The AEMC has received two participant derogation requests from New South Wales distribution businesses (Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy) and ActewAGL.  As both requests seek to minimise possible price volatility which may emerge from a need to remake the 2014-19 determination following the final decision of the Australian Competition Tribunal, the AEMC will consider them concurrently.

The AEMC is expected to publish a joint consultation paper on both derogation requests in November.  Stakeholders should note that while there will be only one consultation paper, separate determinations will be published for the respective derogation request.
