QLD: Wide Bay Pipeline

The Wide Bay Pipeline is a transmission pipeline located in central Queensland. The pipeline is owned by Australian Gas Networks (AGN) and is operated by the APA Group.

The Wide Bay Pipeline is 274 km in length and 114 mm in width, and has a capacity of 3 TJ/day. The pipeline transports gas from Maryborough to Rockhampton via Bundaberg and Gladstone in Queensland. 

The Wide Bay Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. The pipeline was completed in 2000. On 30 November 2022, the AER granted a 5 year category 3 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Wide Bay Pipeline.
