QLD: Combabula Spur Line

QLD: Combabula Spur Line

The Combabula Spur Line is a transmission pipeline located in Central Queensland. The spur line is owned by Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), which is a joint venture between Origin Energy, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec. The pipeline is planned to be one of four high pressure gas pipelines which would form the Western High Pressure Gas Network (Western HPGN).

The Combabula Spur is 17 km in length.

The Combabula Spur Pipeline connects the Combabula gas plant facility to the Reedy Hub.

The Combabula Spur Line is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapters 4 and 5 of the NGL and Part 10 of the NGR. On 26 February 2018, the AER granted a 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under the former Part 23 of the NGR for the Combabula Spur Line. On 30 November 2022, the AER granted a further 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under the former Part 23 of the NGR for the Combabula Spur Line.
