QLD: Churchie Pipeline

QLD: Churchie Pipeline

The Churchie Pipeline is a transmission pipeline in Central Queensland. The pipeline is owned by AGL.

The Churchie Pipeline is 5 km in length and has a capacity of 17 TJ/day.

The Churchie Pipeline connects the Churchie gas field with the Silver Springs Plant, which also connects with the Waggamba gas field.

The Churchie Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 3 January 2018, the AER granted a 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Churchie Pipeline.

The Churchie gas field was initially co-owned by Mosaic and Santos. Mosaic purchased Santos’ stake in 2009 and AGL inherited full ownership when it acquired Mosaic in 2010.
