The Braemer 2 Pipeline is a 100 km high-pressure carbon steel gas transmission pipeline that delivers gas to the Braemar 2 Power Station from various points in the Surat Basin.
The pipeline was owned by Arrow Energy which was bought out in 2010 and is now jointly owned by Shell (50%) and Petro China (50%). The Braemer 2 Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6 of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 25 May 2018, the AER granted a 5-year exemption under Category 1 and 2 of Part 23 of the NGR. On 19 December 2022, the AER granted a further 5-year exemption under Category 1 of Part 24 of the NGR.
