The Tanami Pipeline is a transmission pipeline in central Northern Territory.
The 8-inch pipeline is 440km in length and transports up to 13TJ per day of natural gas to the gas-fired power stations at Granites and Dead, which power the Tanami gold in the remote Tanami desert. The Tanami Pipeline is currently a non-scheme, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 26 September 2018, the AER granted five-year category 2 and 3 exemptions under Part 23 of the NGR for the Tanami Pipeline.
