The Mataranka Lateral is a lateral transmission pipeline in the central region of the Northern Territory. The pipeline is owned and operated by APT Pipelines, a subsidiary of the APA Group. 

The Mataranka Lateral is 11 km in length. The Mataranka Lateral connects customers in the Mataranka region to the Amadeus Gas Pipeline. 
 
The Mataranka Lateral is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 30 November 2022, the AER granted a 5 year category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Mataranka Lateral under the name Maturanka Lateral. 

The Mataranka Lateral was completed in 1997. It was previously owned by the Amadeus Gas Trust, which was owned by AGL (96 per cent interest), the Northern Territory Government (2.5 per cent interest) and a corporation representing certain Aboriginal interests (1.5 per cent).
