NSW: Tallawarra Lateral Pipeline

The Tallawarra Lateral Pipeline is a transmission pipeline in south-east NSW and is owned by EnergyAustralia. The pipeline was formerly part of the Eastern Gas Pipeline.

The Tallawarra Lateral Pipeline is approx. 800 m in length. It transports natural gas in an east to west direction from near the Tallawarra Power Station south of Wollongong. 

The Tallawarra Lateral Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR. On 3 June 2022, the AER granted a 5 year category 1 and category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR, as well as a category 1 exemption under Part 24 of the NGR for the Tallawarra Lateral Pipeline.
